Helping you navigate midlife’s toughest chapters

with clarity, calm, and a plan.

I’m Louise Monaghan but please call me Lou...

I’m 57, mum to three twenty-somethings, and founder of Dead Organised. We’re here for people in midlife who are juggling ageing parents, work, family, and everything else life throws at them often without enough support or a clear roadmap.

With over 30 years’ experience in hospitality, I trained at Westminster College and began my career at The Waterside Inn in Bray before moving to the kitchens of Boulestin in Covent Garden. My front-of-house journey took me to Le Gavroche, working for Albert Roux, before joining the Albert Roux consultancy with roles at The Point in New York State, The Grand Hotel Amsterdam, and Roux Lamartine in Covent Garden. I went on to become a food buyer for Selfridges Food Hall, and later played a key role in running our family-owned restaurants in southwest London.

I’ve spent my career understanding people’s needs, often before they voice them, which is exactly the mindset behind Dead Organised. I founded it after we realised in 2022 that my aunt, who lived alone 200 miles away, needed more help. Suddenly I was in the thick of it, with no clear roadmap. I was already juggling life with work, three children and ageing parents. Like many others in the Sandwich Generation, I found myself navigating unfamiliar systems with little support and I knew there had to be a better way.

Dead Organised helps people make sense of life’s practical and emotional clutter—whether they’re caring for ageing relatives, dealing with Sadmin, or wanting to get your own affairs in order. It’s not about being morbid it’s about being prepared, and doing it with empathy, clarity and a sense of calm.

I don’t come at this from a medical or legal angle, I come from hospitality, where the customer experience is everything. And I bring that same care and attention to helping people feel supported through some of life’s trickier transitions.

I also lecture in Customer Experience Management and teach yoga for a mental health charity. I believe that getting things sorted can actually be bonding, empowering, and a massive relief.

Our approach

Dead Organised isn’t medical or legal - it’s human.

We treat ageing like great hospitality: people-first, calm, organised, and action-oriented. We combine practical tools with emotional support, so you can stop firefighting and start feeling in control again.

We help you:

  • Navigate the care maze

  • Handle tricky family conversations

  • Organise life admin and paperwork

  • Declutter what’s not working physically and emotionally

  • Plan your legacy on your terms

  • Look after your own health and wellbeing along the way

We also bring in trusted experts from legal and medical to funeral planning and finance so you have the right people by your side when you need them.

Our values

  • People-first - making you feel seen, heard, and supported.

  • Empathy + action - we don’t just listen, we help you move forward.

  • Clarity - no jargon, no beige brochures, just straight-talking guidance.

  • Care in the details - we go one step further everytime

What to expect

When you work with Dead Organised, you’ll get:

  • Practical steps to take right now

  • Tools to keep things running smoothly

  • A safe space to talk about the things no one else will

  • Support that fits around your life not the other way around

You’re not failing. You’re just carrying a load that was never meant to be carried alone.

Let’s take some of that weight off your shoulders.
